Questions people ask first
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free plan gives you 25 certificates a month with no card and no trial clock ticking. You pay only when you need more than that, or a feature the free plan does not include.
What happens to my recipients' certificates if I stop paying?
Pages on cert.fyi or a custom subdomain stay live and verifiable, and their links keep working. Your own domain is the exception: it costs money to keep, so when the plan ends, certificates on it go offline. They are not deleted, and they open again if you resubscribe and connect the same domain.
Can someone verify a certificate without an account?
Yes. Every certificate has a public page anyone can open from the link or the QR code — no account, no app, no login. On Professional and above, a recipient can restrict their own page, and visitors then sign in and ask them for access. Each certificate is also available as an Open Badges 3.0 credential. Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Standard gives you a custom subdomain; Professional and above let you point your own domain at your certificates, so the link your recipients share is yours end to end.
Does it work in Bahasa Indonesia?
Fully. The app, this site and the certificate pages are all available in Bahasa Indonesia, and certificate pages also read in English, Português and 简体中文.
Can I import recipients from a spreadsheet?
Yes — on Standard and above. Upload a CSV and Momenial maps the columns for you. You can also add people by hand, share a self-service claim form with a timer and PIN, or push them in through Zapier. Enterprise plans add a REST API.
Can recipients add their own photo?
Yes — recipients can add a photo to their certificate page, which makes the credential recognizably theirs and noticeably more shareable.
Can I correct, renew or revoke a certificate?
Yes. Each change is a new version on the same link. The first correction in a term and adding a qualification are free; a further correction, a new design, a later end date or a renewal uses one credit. Revoking is free, and the page shows the date and reason.
Is a card the same as a certificate?
A card is a credential at card size: the same page, QR code, pass, expiry and revocation, with a member ID or certificate number on the face, and a photo of the holder if you add one. One credit issues either.
